1. Data Controller
BasketballDuo is operated by Tyga.Cloud Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 14643275). We are the data controller for your personal data under UK GDPR and EU GDPR. Contact: privacy@tyga.cloud
2. Data We Collect
Guests: a randomly generated player identifier, held as a token in your browser, and your guest rating and results. A guest gives us no name or email.
Players: if you claim a player with an email and password, we store your handle, country and email, and your password only as a bcrypt hash; we never store or can see your plain-text password. If you claim a player through the Tyga Games game center, the game center collects your handle, email, date of birth and pixel face under its own policy, and we receive only what it passes to us to sign you in.
Game data: your matches, every shot's input and result, your rating, your record against each opponent, and your place on the world ranking.
Technical data: browser and device type, the site version, your approximate country for the world map, and error reports.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
Contract: processing your account and game data is necessary to run the Game and keep your rating.
Legitimate interests: preventing cheating, keeping the world ranking fair, diagnosing errors, improving the Game, and security.
Legal obligation: we may process data to comply with applicable law.
4. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to run the Game and your account, decide and replay matches, keep your rating and rivalries, show the world ranking and the world map, match you with live players, diagnose errors, and detect and prevent cheating and abuse.
5. Data Sharing
We share data only with the following categories of processors, all bound by data processing agreements:
Hosting provider: to run our servers and database.
The Tyga Games game center: for player sign-up, handles and pixel faces.
Real-time messaging: to tell both players in a live match that a shot has been taken.
Email delivery: to send sign-in links and service emails.
Your handle, country, rating and face are public on the world ranking. Your email never is. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use advertising networks or cross-app tracking.
6. Data Storage & Security
All data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.2 or higher. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Database access is restricted by network and authentication.
7. Data Retention
Active accounts: kept for as long as your account exists.
Guests: a guest that is never claimed may be deleted after a period without play.
Deleted accounts: personal data deleted within 30 days of a deletion request, except where the law requires us to keep it.
Diagnostic logs: kept for up to 12 months, then purged.
8. Your Rights (UK/EU GDPR)
You have the right to access a copy of your data, rectify inaccurate data, request erasure, restrict processing, request data portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@tyga.cloud. We will respond within 30 days (extendable to 90 days for complex requests). You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or your local supervisory authority.
9. International Transfers
If data is transferred outside the UK or EU/EEA, we use appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA).
10. Age
BasketballDuo is for players aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has given us personal data, contact privacy@tyga.cloud and we will delete it.
